About This Dog

Estella's ideal home

Estella has started her search for her new family, and is looking for someone with love and patience who can show her the world isn’t too scary! Despite not having the best start in life, Estella is the happiest dog you will meet, and just needs someone to help continue building her confidence. She can live with children aged 12 years or older, as although she can be cautious at first, once she knows you she’s your best friend! This big, bouncy puppy can live with other dogs, but hasn’t been tested to live with cats or small furries. Estella is clean in her kennel, and tries to only toilet in the outdoor run, so with some support from her adopters, we believe she will pick up housetraining quickly. She will need to have a private or communal garden, providing both are secure, to continue this housetraining in the home. Estella loves a tasty treat, which adopters can utilise to build a bond with her whilst teaching her all of her basics. She already settles nicely on a mat when given a chew, and is currently working on walking nicely on the lead. When left with some enrichment to keep her mind busy, Estella can be left for 1-2 hours, providing this is built up slowly in the home. Estella will need to meet her adopters' multiple times prior to going home so please bear this in mind when applying. Please note that should you be shortlisted, our rehoming process usually takes up to 7 days, and potential adopters would be required to meet him within 48hrs.

Could you be Estella's perfect match?

Meet big and beautiful Estella, already a fan favourite with all of us here at Canterbury Dogs Trust! Estella is an 8 month old Cane Corso, who despite not having the best start in life, has the waggiest tail ever, and once she knows you, is the most lovable puppy you’ll ever meet, often choosing to snuggle up next to her handlers for fusses and attention. She is a smart girl and enjoys eating her dinner from a Kong, quickly mastering how to get the food out! She hasn’t quite worked out that toys = fun yet, and prefers playing with her handlers at the moment. Sadly, Estella has had her ears cropped. This is illegal in the UK, and we absolutely do not condone it. Whoever takes home this fun loving girl with have a lifetime of happiness together with her!
