About This Dog for Adoption

Nana's ideal home

Nana has started the search for her new home, and is looking for a family that want a big cuddle bug in their lives! She’s a big girl, so can live with children aged 10 years or older who are comfortable around large breed dogs. Nana can be very bouncy and boisterous around dogs, she could share her home with another larger dog that can match this energetic play style! We have no history of what she is like with cats or other small furries so wouldn’t be able to share her home with these. Despite her size, she’s a gentle giant, and takes treats very calmly when offered, she already knows ‘sit’ and ‘touch.’ She’s quite a strong girl when walking on the lead, so would benefit from some loose lead walking training, and will need adopters who are confident and physically able to walk a strong dog. Nana will need a refresher on her house training so a private, secure gadren with 6ft fencing is needed. Nana can be left for 2-4 hours in the home, providing this is built up gradually after she has had time to settle in. Nana will need to meet her adopters' multiple times prior to going home, so please bear this in mind when applying. Please note that should you be shortlisted, our rehoming process usually takes up to 7 days, and potential adopters would be required to come to the centre to meet him within 48hrs of being shortlisted.

Could you be Nana's perfect match?

Meet Nana, the big and beautiful 18 month old Cane Corso with a heart full of love! Nana absolutely loves the attention of anyone who will give it to her, she loves a chin scratch and gentle strokes and will lean in for more when she is enjoying herself. She loves to play with other dogs and can be quite bouncy and excited. She likes a tasty treat, any treat will do and will take it gently from the hand. This beauty has a lot of love to give – could you offer her the loving home she deserves?

Cane Corso Puppy Buying Checklist

We highly recommend every buyer reads through the below advice when purchasing or rehoming a Cane Corso.

  • View the animal in the place it was born and raised - check for genuine home environments if buying privately, or the quality of the breeders set-up if applicable.
  • If viewing a puppy under 8 weeks, by law they MUST be seen with their mum.
  • Make sure the animal's old enough to be rehomed. 8 weeks should be the earliest a puppy can be rehomed.
  • By law, all dogs MUST be microchipped
  • Review and verify any documents, such as KC registration paperwork where applicable

Avoid Potential Scams

There are a number of red flags to look out for when purchasing a new puppy:

  • Seller demands a deposit without allowing you to see the dog first - never send any money before meeting the animal in person
  • Seller is reluctant to send you additional photos or videos
  • Seller offers to deliver the dog/puppy
  • Seller asks to meet in a mutual location
  • Seller uses fake or stolen photos from the internet. Always carry out a "Google image search".
  • Seller asks to immediately switch to communication off the Cane Corso Owners website
  • Seller uses a different phone number to the one listed on the website - especially if that phone number is in one of the advert images

Although we have a number of automated systems in place to prevent scam and fraudulant adverts, these can never be 100% accurate and its important to use caution when buying online. We do not accept any responsibility for transactions between our users, especially when our safe buying advice is not followed.
