About This Dog for Adoption
Mike's ideal home
Mike is looking for a nice calm home environment to settle down in, with adopters who have experience with strong dogs, who will take him on lots of sniffy walks and fun adventures and will give him all the love and care he deserves. He can live with children aged 12 and over who are confident with larger dogs and can play nicely with him and give him space to rest when he needs. Mike could live with another large dog, a dog that is calm and confident and will happily co-exist with him, although this is not a necessity, he could have polite and friendly walking buddies. Mike cannot live with cats or other small furries. He has some training under his belt, he does a lovely “Sit” and “paw”, he can get a little distracted by a good sniff around but is keen to learn more if there are treats on offer. He will need a refresher on his house training so a private, secure garden is necessary. He does settle in the home so could be left for up to 2-4 hours, this would need to be built up gradually after he has had time to settle into his new home. Mike will need to meet his adopters multiple times prior to going home so please bear this in mind when applying. Please note that should you be shortlisted, our rehoming process usually takes up to 7 days, and potential adopters would be required to come up to the centre to meet him within 48hrs of being shortlisted.
Could you be Mike's perfect match?
A big fun burst of energy, that’s Mike! He is a 4 year old Italian Corso cross who thinks he is the perfect size to be a lap dog. He loves a fuss and will lean in for back and bum scratches, he will jump onto the sofa next to you and snuggle in for cuddles. Mike is a foodie boy and will take treats gently from the hand. He Loves a fluffy toy, and will pick them up, chase and throw them around. This wonderful lad is looking for his loving new home.
