About This Dog for Adoption
Hugo's ideal home
Hugo is looking for a calm and quiet home to relax in, within a quieter area, with adopters who are happy to let him settle in to home life at his own pace and help him to build confidence around new experiences. He can live with children aged 14 years and over are comfortable with a larger dog, who will play nicely with him and can give him space to rest and recharge when needed. Hugo finds the world quite a worrying place and finds confidence in the company of his four-legged friends, he is therefore only looking for a home that must have an established dog who is happy to engage in play and will teach him all about home life, this will be pending successful meetings at the centre, he cannot live with cats, birds or other small furries. Hugo has very little training under his belt, he does know his name and once he is settled in a home be would benefit from learning the basics in short and sweet sessions for praise and a tasty treat. Hugo will need housetraining so a private, secure garden with high fencing is needed. He can get a little worried being left alone, but would potentially be able to able to be left for up to 1-2 hours, this would need to be built up slowly once he has had time to settle into his new home. Hugo will need to meet his adopters multiple times prior to going home, with the potential for home visits to make sure he is settling in well, so please bear this in mind when applying. Please note that should you be shortlisted, our rehoming process usually takes up to 7 days, and potential adopters would be required to come up to the centre to meet his within 48hrs of being shortlisted.

Big goofy boy Hugo is an 8 month old Italian Corso with a lot of personality hidden under a slightly worried exterior. He has so much love to give once he knows you and will lean in for cuddles, he especially likes a neck scratch. He loves to play with his four-legged friends and will happily run around with them, occasionally picking up a toy to run with if the mood takes him. This wonderful pup is a delight to be around and is looking for his new home.
